wow!..nice review!..i’ve seen and read a lot of reviews but i must say, this is one of the best. i’ll be having nikon D5000 kit soon. can’t wait to have. i’m so excited!

I bought this camera in Februari and I love it. This can answer to most of my creative needs because it not only takes awesome pictures but also HD video, wich looks really professional with depth of focus, and it has an interval switch which allows you to make timelapse movies. I advise to assign the ISO settings to the function button on the side so you have easy access to all 3 major parameters (speed, appeture and ISO).

do you know if the intervalometer on the samsung S850 is anygood?
I want a Ricoh GX100
but I cant seem to get it anywhere in Canada

just looked it up in the S850 manual…
1 min to 60 min interval @ 2-99 pics
That’s basically useless. Just like I said in the video “ridiculously long intervals and/or few frames” lots of cameras have those limits and those limits totally suck for timelapse. If you want a GX100 just order it from Adorama or Popflash photo (or the bay of E). Ricoh rocks timelapse.

im saving up for a 40D
and wanted a timelapse creating cam for cheap
but as you said in the vid the more you pay
the more you get

I knew about time lapse because I was looking for a miniDV camera and finally I choose the Sony H62 and it have the feature, you can use intervals from 1 sec to 120sec betew shots, you can leave the camcorder 99 hours taking videos with the intervals. is a really nice camera BUT, when you compare the quality with the digital camera timelapse the miniDV camcorder lost the round.

Right now I’m using a Canon Powershot A570IS 7MP (around U$170 when I bought in 2007)
